Access to records
If you were placed for adoption by SSAFA then we can assist you to access your birth records.
To do this you need to be 18 or over (in Scotland you can access information at age 16). If you were adopted before 12 November 1975 you will be required to attend a counselling session with our Post Adoption Social Worker first. Find out more about how this process works.
Has someone in your family been adopted?
Perhaps your child was adopted? Maybe they have now contacted you? We can offer you support. Many people are affected by adoption and there are times when talking to someone outside the family can be helpful.
