Our Statement of Purpose

In accordance with the 2003 Voluntary Adoption Agencies and the Adoption Agencies Regulations, every adoption agency must prepare a Statement of Purpose. This is a document which provides full information about the agency’s purpose, organisation and way of working.

Step-parent adoption

If you need information on step-parent adoption please contact our Duty Social Worker who will be able to explain the process to you. This may be different depending on your circumstances and where you live.

Adopting children with complex needs

If you are considering adopting a child with complex or significant health, learning or disability needs it is important to consider that while the Ministry of Defence strives to provide support and facilities for personnel and their dependants who have complex or significant needs that are comparable to those in the UK, it may not be possible to achieve this in some postings.
