I get a great buzz from volunteering for SSAFA. I enjoy giving my time to help others.

John, who is a veteran of the Falkland's, started volunteering when he left the Forces. As a caseworker he meets with people to find out what support they need.

John says: “I decided that I would like to help those who were less fortunate than me. I get a great buzz from volunteering for SSAFA - a great deal of satisfaction when a case is completed successfully and someone has received all the help they need. Some are more complicated and difficult than others but the pleasure in helping them is the same. I enjoy giving my time to help others.”
