Increasingly, companies are seeing the benefits of working with a charity partner for multiple years, embedding the partnership within the organisation culture to deliver mutually beneficial results with a lasting legacy. SSAFA works with two main Charity Of The Year partners, in 5 year partnerships from 2015-20: One of which is Openreach.


We are Openreach’s first main charity partner;  a partnership with a real fit and one that we are very proud of. With over 32,000 staff, Openreach looks after the fibres, wires and cables that connect tens of millions of homes and businesses to phone, broadband, data and TV services. Openreach has recruited over 2,000 ex-service personnel over the last few years. The partnership helps fund our confidential helpline ‘Forcesline’, ensuring we are there whenever we’re needed by someone in the Armed Forces family. Openreach employees have raised over £90,000 through different fundraising events since the partnership was launched in April 2015, as well as assisting SSAFA with volunteer activities.
